Tatler Hong Kong

Video Production

With little more than a simple brief to inspire a sense of adventure, our team set out to Niseko for Hong Kong Tatler’s first fashion editorial of 2020: “Spirited Away”.

Client: Tatler Hong Kong

Service: Videography

Snow Country

The main fashion shoot was shot over two days alongside local photographer Jacob Liu. We also created a Hong Kong Tatler behind-the-scenes video of Alteo, the local concierge company who served as local fixers for the project.

Hong Kong Tatler and The Luxe Nomad also commissioned us to create a short film documenting SKYE Niseko, a luxury hotel situated centrally in the famed ski town.

We envisioned our talent Yuri as an owl spirit, listening to nature in an attempt to find her way home during the winter blizzards of Japan’s northernmost prefecture.

In the harsh winter landscape of Niseko, Hokkaido, our video production house faced the challenge of conducting a high-fashion shoot amidst snow-laden terrain and biting temperatures. There were logistical hurdles and unpredictable weather conditions throughout the shoot, which brought forward some quick D-I-Y solutions to dropping battery levels and frosty lenses. Despite these hurdles, the team worked in harmony to make the most of the surrounding environment, transforming the scenery into a canvas for artistry.
